Guidelines
1. SFW and NSFW works will be allowed, which means this event will be 18+ ONLY.2. Pieces cannot be shared online / amongst those outside of the event as to keep them a surprise. Pieces will be revealed online during posting.3. Our primary form of communication will be through discord so please make sure you have / will get and account.4. Please understand the schedule if you wish to join. We understand, however, that things can pop up unexpectedly... and that's okay! Should you join and need to drop please don't feel guilty about it.

What's A Bang?
🔥FIRST OF ALL: WHAT IS A BANG?🔥
A bang is a fan-held event where fanfic writers and fan artists come together and create pieces!🔥HOW DOES IT WORK?🔥
Each writer comes up with an idea for a fic and writes a pitch/summary. Artists will then blind pick from those ideas to make art!The mod team will then pair up artists with writers for their favorite ideas, and thus the creation period begins. Writers and artists will be given time to work on their ideas over a fixed amount of time.🔥ARE THERE CONTENT RESTRICTIONS?🔥
There is not! We will be allowing SFW, NSFW, and Dead Dove content. Each type of content will have its own area within the server so you do not have to view it if you don't want to.🔥WHAT ABOUT CHECK-INS?🔥
Check-ins are milestones for the team's pieces. Every contributor has to submit their progress so we, the mods, can check that the work is being done.After all check-ins are completed, then it's posting day! Writers post their works and artists share their art. We encourage you to promote each other's piece while posting as well.🔥IS THIS LIKE A ZINE?🔥
Yes and no. Bangs are similar to zines in how they are fan events that gather writers and artists. However... There is no final publication done.
Zines aim to create a final publication: physical or a digital one (or both sometimes!). Whereas Bangs do NOT create a final publication. Fics are added to an AO3 collection and art is linked and embedded in fics and retweeted by the bang's account, but there is no publication done, either digital or physical. That means no monetary compensation for the works.
Additionally... While zines can vary in how they handle their content, bangs aim to give every fic at least one piece of art. That means art is not done independently.🔥WHY JOIN A BANG?🔥
They're a lot of fun! You get to meet and interact with others in the community who share your same interests.
Also, creators who struggle to finish pieces will get concrete deadlines, so it's a good way to get work done.
WE WILL HANDLE EVERYTHING FROM A DISCORD SERVER.
Once a creator has signed up, we will send them a link to our Discord server. There's no need to know how to handle Twitter to get in!
The server will be used for posting important announcements and as our main form of communication.🔥WHY IS THIS EVENT +18 RESTRICTED?🔥
The event being 18+ means content will NOT be policed.
Creators are free to do whatever they want, that means both SFW and NSFW are allowed and welcomed! We will request creators to tag potentially triggering content, but no content is banned.
Artists
🔥WHAT KIND OF ART IS ALLOWED?🔥
Any kind of art is welcome! The idea is that all creators can have fun! As long as it goes with the fic, you can draw anything you want!🔥ARE WE ABLE TO MAKE FULL COLOR MINI COMICS?🔥
Yes. As long as it goes with the writer's fic, mini-comics are allowed and welcome!🔥IS TRADITIONAL ART ALLOWED?🔥
Yes! We only require said art to be scanned with good quality of the overall drawing and 300dpi preferred.🔥ANY SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR MY DRAWING?🔥
No. Doesn't matter if A4 or A5, portraits or full body, grey scale or bright and colorful- everything is accepted! We're going to leave this decision up to you, the artist.
However, it is important is that you submit high quality art- full colored illustration but backgrounds are not mandatory.🔥WHAT ABOUT OTHER PAIRINGS?🔥
Your creation must be centered on Touya Todoroki, alias of Dabi.
We will accept any secondary ships, but he must be the main focus of whatever you choose to create.🔥IF MY PARTNER'S FIC IS NSFW DOES THAT MEAN I HAVE TO DRAW A NSFW SCENE?🔥
Of course not! As the artist you will get to decide what scene from the fic you will be drawing. You can collaborate with your partner but just because a fic is NSFW does not mean you must contribute NSFW art.
Writers will get to talk it out, but ultimately, you, as the artist, will decide what you will be creating.🔥PSSST!🔥
Do NOT discuss anything about your planned artwork outside of the discord artist only channels! It shall be a surprise!
For the duration of the bang, you can’t submit parts of your work (WIPs/ previews) anywhere: no screenshots, excerpts or anything of the sort in social media.
Share it in the server, instead! We'll all get hyped!🔥THE GHOSTING ISSUE:🔥
Ghosting will NOT be tolerated.
We have a striking system on our server. You will receive a strike for not following important announcements, not communicating with your team, missing submission(s) and ghosting.
Two strikes and we will kick you out of the event.
Please have understanding that we, the mods, do not want to chase after late comers.
Just keep an eye on the schedule, ask for extensions before hand if you need one, stay on track and up to date!
Writers
🔥WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR SIGN-UPS?🔥
We will only require a writer's email address, social media handles, discord tag and an AO3 account. We will not decline any sign-up based on ability. Please create a new story for this Bang!🔥WHAT'S THE WORD COUNT FOR THE COMPLETED FANFICTION?🔥
Our minimum word count will be 2k words, but please feel free to go above and beyond that.🔥WHAT ABOUT BETAS/WRITER MODS?🔥
Once Sign-Ups open people can apply saying that want to join the Bang as a Beta reader only. This way participants can have an extra eye on their work.
However, the bang's content will not be rejected or accepted by these beta readers, and asking for help is fully optional.
The mod team will NOT assign dedicated beta readers to teams. Beta's will be present in the server, but writers will be able to ping the beta role and request help at any time!🔥WHAT ABOUT OTHER PAIRINGS?🔥
